Our Story
Established in 1994, this family-owned business began by selling hair products and accessories. Local members gravitated to us immediately as we began providing essential items and much needed hair advice.
As our business grew we realised the need for Afro-Caribbean hair professionals; within a year we expanded our business. We were now providing hair services to women and by 1996 we owned two premises. With our second property catering to the needs of men, in 1998 we decided to merge all services under one roof!
Understanding that the growth and success of this business would have been impossible without local support and loyal customers, we began trading as Southwestsix. Our new name simply represented the strength of our business, our local community, Fulham SW6.
Within no time we were able to give back, providing part-time employment to local youth and making a mark for Afro-Caribbean culture within the area. Our mission now is to continue making a difference to the lives of our supporters and to encourage the expansion of our family-orientated business.
